Our Team

Lucy Pavalock President & Business Development Lucy grew up a free-spirited farm kid in upstate New York. She worked in restaurants through school and learned to appreciate the passion and hard work it takes to operate one successfully. A long time math geek, it was during her college years at SUNY Albany that Lucy worked her way into accounting and retail management. After a stint in the renewable energy sector, Lucy had the opportunity to test her entrepreneurial skills with Carolyn, establishing Custom Business Solutions in 2002. Their traditional bookkeeping company has grown and evolved into the tech-focused firm now known as Prix Fixe Accounting. On the rare occasions when she is not working, she can be found hiking in the desert with her backpack and bottomless supply of Bulletproof coffee, foraging in the woods for mushrooms or enjoying a locally sourced meal with the two foodie daughters she shares with Carolyn.

Carolyn Jones Partner & Accountant Advisor Carolyn, a graduate of Smith College, launched her business career at The Orchards Hotel in Williamstown where she began at the front desk but quickly worked her way through the reservations department, and then guest services before landing in the accounting department. She worked her way through the department and ended her stint there as Controller. She left The Orchards to become Controller at Catamount Pellet Fuel Corporation where she remained for nine years. It was at Catamount that she met Lucy and toward the end of their time at Catamount they hatched the idea for CBSolutions which they launched in 2002. Now, with their entire team they transitioned CBSolutions to Prix Fixe Accounting and couldn’t be more excited. Carolyn is an avid (some might say rabid) New England Patriots fan and everyone knows to steer clear of her office on the rare occasion of a Pats loss.

Chris Macksey Accountant Advisor Chris graduated from Bryant University with a BBA in Economics and Management. From a young age, Chris was always captivated by restaurants, starting as a busser, eventually making his way to the back of house. Working through high school and college, Chris continued in restaurant industry after college. After a brief stint in banking, realizing the error of his ways, Chris has once again sought out the restaurant industry, eventually connecting with Lucy & Carolyn. The rest is history. He strongly resembles a famously ill-tempered internet cat both in appearance and demeanor (RIP Tartar Sauce). Chris sits on the board of the Park-McCullough House as Treasurer. Chris’ pet peeve is just about everything… but most of all: tiny water glasses. Why, why why…

Nick DiSanti Bookkeeper The newest addition to the PFA team. Nick recently graduated from MCLA with a BBA with a concentration in Accounting and is currently an MBA candidate for MCLA. Nick began his career in hospitality in high school, working for Mezze Restaurant Group, as a busser, server, and captain. Nick hates servers that don’t use trays to serve beverages (because he is elitist). In Nick’s spare time, he coaches baseball, and is an avid golfer (for the next 6 months, until he gets super deep into the next fad. Ultimate Frisbee?)
